What if any, is the meaning of a male wearing a gold wedding band?
on the left hand an another gold wedding band on the right hand. Forgive my ignorance.
Each ring is on the ring finger of that hand.
A gold wedding band on left hand means he’s married. The only reason anyone wears a wedding band on the left ring finger is because one is married. A ring on the ring finger of the right hand can be many things, from nothing to a ring with a special meaning. One man in the bank wears the wedding ring from his first marriage on his right hand, the marriage ended when the first wife died in a car accident. My hubby wears a ring I gave him when we got engaged. Some wear rings for social groups, professional associations and fraternal orders on the right hand, similar to the iron pinky ring worn by professional engineers. The ring can have a very personal meaning, it can be a family heirloom. It can also mean nothing, won only as a fashion statement. Not every article of clothing and jewelry needs to be sending a message nor does it need to have a meaning. Sometimes a ring is just a ring.
